I can hear you thinking about it

Remembering 

Wishing things had been different here, then and there

I can see you playing around it

Imagining

Throwing what ifs and toys high and low through the air

I can feel you wishing your life away 

With only one foot on the ground

It is never the right time to disappear 

When you are lost you can be found

Slipping, sliding

Across the top

Edging, enticing

Towards the drop

Time to flourish

Then to stop

Pulling, straining

To be released

Never complaining

Biting the leash

Time to encourage

Then be at peace
